Vauxhall GSe Rally Prototype: A 280bhp Mokka Built for the Dirt
Vauxhall is shaking up the rally scene with a bold new prototype: the GSe Rally, a high-performance, rally-ready version of its popular Mokka crossover. With a hefty 280bhp under the hood, aggressive styling, and a motorsport-tuned chassis, this prototype is anything but your average family SUV.
The GSe Rally is part of Vauxhall’s push to breathe new life into its GSe (Grand Sport Electric) sub-brand, blending electric performance with a motorsport edge. Based on the Mokka Electric, the Rally prototype cranks up the output and gets serious upgrades to suspension, tires, brakes, and safety equipment—perfect for tackling rally stages at speed.
While the standard Mokka Electric offers a practical and eco-conscious drive, the GSe Rally is aimed at something much more thrilling. With 280bhp, it nearly doubles the output of the standard version, transforming the mild-mannered crossover into a gravel-slinging powerhouse. Wider arches, a stripped-out interior, roll cage, racing seats, and rally lights complete the transformation.
Although it's still a prototype, the GSe Rally signals Vauxhall’s growing ambition in the electrified motorsport space. It’s a clear nod to the brand’s rally heritage, but with a modern, electric twist.
Whether it enters competitive rallying or remains a high-voltage concept, the GSe Rally is proof that electrification doesn’t mean the end of driving excitement. If anything, it’s just the beginning.
